These are some new paintings. They are oil on canvas, each is 18" x 18". I love the iridescent black feathers with blue, purple and turquoise. They can be either separate or part of a triptych.

Pileated Woodpecker

I am really enjoying this digital painting thing. This is the Pileated Woodpecker, the largest living woodpecker in North America, apart from the Ivory Billed Woodpecker, which is either extinct or almost extinct.

This is a recently updated piece that I just completed. I wasn't happy with it so I decided to tweak it until I was satisfied.

It's part of a series of paintings I've done of Ontario's beautiful and rugged Georgian Bay area in Lake Huron. Plenty of rocky islands and windswept pines.
